According to the manufacturers, both the O950 and the S6 can overcome obstacles of around 2 cm. However, a test shows that the S6 has fewer problems on straight gradients than the O950.

App

Despite a worse rating on Amazon, the O950 has removed some of the criticisms with the FW update to version 1.7.6. You can now e.g. merge or separate zones or give names to rooms. The storage of two maps for two floors is reliably working.

You can draw no-go zones in the app for both suction robots, for the O950 you can also define non-wipe zones. What is also worth mentioning is the possibility of seeing exactly where the robot is at the moment by means of live tracking. This function is especially useful when you are on the move.

In addition, both devices can be controlled by Alexa and Google Assistant, although there is more variation in the S6's commands.

: With the Xiaomi Roborock S6 and the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo 950 it is especially difficult to make a decision favoring one of the devices. Although they are similar in some areas, such as suction, they differ mainly in the following points: The S6 is quieter and has fewer problems overcoming straight obstacles. However, the O950 convinces with a better cleaning of carpets and the function to avoid carpets when the wipe is attached. They are both suitable for larger areas thanks to the outstanding battery, but the O950 offers a clear advantage with the multi-storey mapping function.
